Probably a few days early but you never know with the nice Spring weather we are having.

Last year EJ arrived back on her nest March 26th so if she does return I expect it will be in the next few days. The question is if she does return who she pair up with this year?

Will Henry make a return after a couple of years..unlikely. Will OVS make an unwelcome return to his nest...again unlikely in my opinion. Odin was a magnificent provider last year and hopefully he will make it back in time as if he is late EJ will mate with anyone in feathers.

I really can't wait
 
wonder if the one I saw heading North over Hull yesterday was one of them? Should be there today if it was. Fingers crossed.

I would expect to see an Osprey on the nest by the weekend, last year wasn't the next taken by an intruder before EJ returned? Also at the back end of the year after the chicks fledged there were a couple of Ospreys in the nest for a few days, they may try to claim it too.

Exciting times ahead no doubt
 
I have a spreadsheet which gives the history of return dates at Loch Garten. If anyone wants it I will PM it to you.

It is 1.15 pm and I have just seen EJ on her nest at Loch Garten, she is already doing housework and looks in perfection condition. Madam has arrived just hope Odin gets here soon
