Cormorant using fish to attack gulls (1 Viewer)

Looking at the flatfish, is it possible that a cormorant would have difficulty swallowing a fish that shape ?, maybe it knows that and just will not let anything else have it ?

It had it for about 10 minutes before the gulls came in so I'd agree with this. Eventually it dropped it at which point a great black-backed picked it up. Then that spent 10 minutes trying as well before dropping it and I didn't see the fish after that.
