I know that this is a primarily birding site, but with a Swift-focused forum, I was hoping this might be a good spot for more info about these binoculars.

Received them a few days ago. Very nice shape. Seem well-constructed, except, and it is barely an issue at this point, the right/diopter side cf arm has some play. They came to me missing the strap, ep cover, and whatever manual they had originally.

Any info on their history or other's experience with them would be welcomed. I could find no JB numbers.

Looks similar to the Celestron 11x80 Comet Hunter. 4.5 degree field.

A narrow angle eyepiece version of my Celestron 20x80 Japanese, best of three, from around 1975?

There were also 15x80 versions.
And 30x80 with minimal eye relief.

Basically, the same binoculars with different eyepieces.
Some had central axles, some not.
Some connected barrels, some not.

They vary a bit optically, so I tested and chose the best.

There was also a much longer Swift 20x80 used on Baywatch.

I had the 20x80 of that series, bought new in 1997. It was called "Satellite".
Too bad you're missing the strap; it's the best strap I've ever used.
