Grass Snake (1 Viewer)

I saw a very small Grass Snake this afternoon. I thought it must have been born this year, but all the info. I can find indicates that the young do not hatch until about July/August. It seemed too small to be one of last year`s young, it wasn`t much bigger than a pencil.

I would be grateful for any ideas on this please.

Thanks,

Eileen.

Don't forget that they are reptiles, cold blooded so probably pretty slow growing, especially when you throw in a long, hibernation cycle.
