how hard is it to pic your top ten birds?
do you pic from your country?
do you pic from world birds?
have you ever thought of your top ten?
it's so hard.try it.bet you change your mind many times

Hi Sparrow,

Too right! - I'd probably find it easier to name a top 100, than a top 10. And yes, it would be a slightly different set each time I listed them.

I'd generally only pick from birds I've seen myself; could do either county, country or world, I'd have a different selection for each.

it's not easy to pic,not many people are brave enough.
it change's all the time.
my favorite is the hecks grassfinch but there is no pic in the gallery
my favorite british is hard .i like the dunnock, bully cock,and the chaffinch

Hi Sparrow,

Had to look that one up, I've never been to Australia so don't know about them. Also called Long-tailed Finch. Have you been to Australia and seen them?

at the risk of being accused of being a know all i've seen them....just outside Darwin.

there was a top 5 thread a while back - i'll try and dig up a ref. for it. I remember people changed their mind a fair bit...good old spud had a couple of goes i think.

hecks grasfinch

had a look.
i have not been to oz ,but at the risk of some peoples wrath.
i used to breed them in averys in the u.k.
dont keep any now but they are great little birds.

I have some top unseen birds. Always have been fascinated by oxpeckers and to see real antbirds in action. With ants. In the jungle.
