some of the Gelechiidae are called twirler moths - but Hislop's vernacular name list is not helpful really when it comes to remembering names, so most of the UK micros are known by their scientific binomial - which in this day and age makes it much easier for the international discussions that take place over the internet.

Hi Roger, I knew this was a Hislop/Porter invented name but was being deliberately obtuse! ;) So, what's Phycitodes binaevella known as? No, on second thoughts, I don't even care.
