Hi, just a quick observation whilst searching for the em1 and a lens, as the main outlets not imports are doing a kit deal with the new pro lens at About £1699. It is actually more viable to purchase them separately and claim back the £150 on the lens. Please correct me if I am wrong. Em1 approx £949 = lens approx £800
=£1749 - £150 rebate??
Kind regards mike
PS jessops is/was doing the em1 for.
£901.

Hi Mike. It's complicated, isn't it? As I understand it, the special offer only applies to E-M1 kits (body plus either 12-50 or 12-40 Pro lens) which then entitles you to £150 reduction on an extra lens purchased from the same dealer.

Using the camerapricebuster website, an example purchasing from SRS would be:
E-M1 and 12-40 Pro kit £1599.00
60mm macro £349.00
Total £1948.00
Less £150 cashback on 60mm - total £1798.
You would also qualify for a free grip.

I think this the cheapest way of doing it, as the lens promotion does not apply to a body and lens purchased separately.

Incidentally, I see the E-M1 body is now about £400 cheaper than when I bought mine, although I did get a free grip and 4/3 lens adapter with it.
