Had a great morning following the antics of a lot of swallows. Wonderful to see them skimming over the land, performing tight turns & amazing how fast they fly.

One of the joys when I lived in Wales was the annual pre-migration gathering on telephone wires near my house (sometimes several hundreds). The birds were reasonably used to people and occasionally I would find them immediately outside my bedroom window, and be able to watch them at length literally inches away.
