Completion:
Seiurus (motacilla, noveboracensis) > Parkesia
Parula (superciliosa, gutturalis), Vermivora (peregrina, celata, crissalis, luciae, ruficapilla, virginiae) > Oreothlypis
Parula (americana, pitiayumi) > Setophaga

No doubt, of course. In completion the rest of proposed classification.
And I should have been clearer – my introductory statement was ambiguous.

The timing of recent revisions of the Parulidae is rather unfortunate. Presumably Jon Curson follows the traditional arrangement in HBW15 (due Oct). It must be very frustrating for authors these days!

Russet-crowned Warbler

The study notes high mtDNA divergence between two trans-Andean populations of Basileuterus coronatus (Myiothlypis coronata), represented by examples from Carchi, N Ecuador (ssp elatus?) and Pasco, C Peru (nominate coronatus?).

[With the SACC website still inaccessible, I've been unable to check whether SACC already comments on these populations.]

Both are members of the widespread yellow-bellied coronatus group (rather than the central, white-bellied castaneiceps group, 'Bay-crowned Warbler').

Also interesting was a run down on what ISN'T a Warbler

Olive Warbler and Granatellus chats (old news)

Yellow-breasted Chat (Icteria) is an ancient lineage that falls outside of Parulidae, and seems to be variously placed near Emberizidae, Icteridae, or Parulidae

Zeledonia (Wren-thrush) falls outside but near to Parulidae

Several Caribbean species (Xenoligea, Microligea, and Phaenicophilus) form a distinct old lineage

Terestris warblers (which also form an old and probably not warbler lineage)

Completion:
Seiurus (motacilla, noveboracensis) > Parkesia
Parula (superciliosa, gutturalis), Vermivora (peregrina, celata, crissalis, luciae, ruficapilla, virginiae) > Oreothlypis
Parula (americana, pitiayumi) > Setophaga

Wouldn't this combine to say that the genus Parula would disappear?

I don't think so

In whale taxonomy we have the long recognized family Neobalaenidae, represented by Caperea, the pygmy right whale. Caperea has priority over Neobalaena, however this has not resulted in a change in family level taxonomy.

Lovette et al. cite Article 40.1 in their last paragraph - the family-level name does not need to change if the type genus is placed in synonymy

not bad for a pop press review, but was hoping Lovette might drop a hint at where Yellow-breasted Chat, Zeledonia, and the other oddballs might go!

Golden-winged Warbler

Confer, Hartman & Roth 2011. Golden-winged Warbler Vermivora chrysoptera. Revised 25 Mar 2011. BNA Online.

The Systematics article includes an updated/expanded discussion of hybridisation with V cyanoptera ('leucobronchialis', 'lawrencii').
