yellow warbler behaviour (1 Viewer)

Over the last few days a male yellow warbler has been persistently flutterling around our house at all the windows, especially a window in a circular garden area with many shrubs, tall flowers where he sits and jumps in and out of a small ornamental tree in the center. He is regularily hitting the window as he is constantly fluttering at them for minutes at a time. He is constantly singing all the while. Is this common? Or is this little guy upset about something? My kids say they have seen another couple(male and female) around as well.
Appreciate any thoughts or guesses.

Hi Jen,

Welcome to BirdForum!

He's seen his reflection in the window, and thinks it's a rival invading his territory - and trying to spend all his time 'chasing the rival away'
