Tern: South Africa (1 Viewer)

Trevor Hardaker

Well-known member
This tern was photographed in Hamburg in the Eastern Cape in South Africa a few days ago and sent to me for comments on the ID. I did not personally see it and these are apparently the only photos available...

Would love to hear your thoughts on the ID. It is most likely a second year Common Tern, but I just want to check whether White-cheeked Tern can be safely eliminated as it is a species that I don't really know at all...

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards
Trevor
