scope for garden (1 Viewer)

Just moved into a house with a 150 ft garden and getting into bird watching. I'm looking to buy a scope that will remain in focus at reasonably close distance. Max price £150. Don't necessarily need specific product recommendations but would like advice on the spec.

Thanks in advance

Cliff

Hello Cliff, I would have thought that one of the smaller lighter spoting scopes in 50 or 60mm with a zoom lens would suit your needs. They do tend to focus down to 2.5 - 3.5 metres in the Opticron MM2 or MM3 series, and nodoubt with other manufacturers aswell. A Google search for 50 - 60mm spottong scopes will throw up a lot of different manufacturers from cheap to quite expensive. My advice would be to get the best that you are comfortable spending, also the used market can throw up very good quality ones at very good prices.
Hope this helps
Les.
