Been on a family holiday to north-west Greece staying in Vrachos. Not seen any info online from the there so a few sightings in case anyone visits. As I'd not long been on a weeks birding holiday to Bulgaria and Greece this was more sedate and therefore didn't visit any birding sites, just some observations while out and about.
To and from Vrachos beach from the airport lots of House Sparrow plus Crested Lark and Magpie.
In Vrachos beach I did a couple of walks along the roads above the village. Lots of House Sparrow, Collared Dove, House Martin, Swallow and smaller numbers of Red-rumped Swallow. Several Eastern Olivaceous Warblers present and one Sardinian Warbler and a couple of Cetti's Warbler heard. Managed to see Spotted Flycatcher, Turtle Dove, Woodchat Shrike, Jay, Hooded Crow, Buzzard seen twice, Sparrowhawk once and Blackbird. Goldfinch commonest finch along with Greenfinch and Chaffinch.
On the beach Kentish Plover while out to sea Yellow-legged Gull and Little Egret, the latter seen on three occasions crossing the bay.
1.Eastern Olivaceous Warbler
2.Red-rumped Swallow
3.Spotted Flycatcher
