Hi I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Kevin and I'm a birder hobbyist and a wildlife biologist. I have had strong interest from a very young age in wildlife, including birds. I live in North Central Idaho, but I'm originally from the Salt Lake City, Utah area. I have spent time birding throughout Utah, in North Central Arkansas (3 years), Lower Rio Grande Valley Texas near McAllen (4 months), Arizona (2 years), Jackson Wyoming (4 months), and North Central Idaho (2 years and counting). I have an M.S. in Wildlife Biology where I studied bobwhite. During my career, I have conducted wildlife surveys or research work on goshawk, three-toed woodpecker, long-billed curlew, sage grouse, other sagebrush obligate birds, bald eagle, peregrine falcon, black-rosy finches, flammulated owls, boreal owls, great gray owls, short eared owls, and burrowing owls. I have conducted point counts for songbirds in Utah, AR and Texas, and have conducted breeding bird surveys and CBC in Utah, and Arkansas. Hopefully I can contribute positively to this forum.
