Has Zeiss marked the Lotutec models from the beginning? (1 Viewer)

............Good luck, the Victory FL is a very good binocular.

Jerry

I did not get this one, as its price went up much higher. No problem since I already have three different FL models including the 10x42 we were discussing here. But I was interested for two reasons, one to get such a fine glass at a very low price would have meant buying it for my wife or my daughter. Two, it was that issue about it being called Lotutec when the "umbrella" was missing. So it's good we were able to clarify the reliability of the designations one may find on a particular model. Thanks to all who helped getting this figured out.

This might not be of interest anymore for the original poster, but might for others:
My FL have the Locutec 'rainbow' marking and were made in 2007 (according Zeiss).
As Jerry mentions that Locutec was introduced in 2007, this seems to confirm that the 'rainbow' marking was present from the start on the Locutec models.
