Tit ID - Algeria (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I found and photographed this tit (female and the nestlings) in a nestbox during the breeding season (May 2013) in the northeast of Algeria.

It has been suggested that it could be african bleu tit, I would appreciate having your opinions.

Yes, it looks like it to me, subspecies ultramarinus is the one you'll have in Algeria I believe.

I'm not sure what the official line on this is, but can we call it Ultramarine tit please - if only just for me! A much better sounding, and very appropriate name for a brilliant and distinctive little bird...

Agree with you, I found a little difference on the head when I compared it with the sub species Ultramarinus ! thank you
