I love my SE but I feel these are priced a little high.

I'd say for the type that's not too bad,
but for the condition, that's risky. Those have clearly
seem tough times, and most SEs at auction are very well taken care of.

That does seem a bit high for a used one that does look used.

In the US the Nikon 8x32 SE is getting hard to find, and the only
large net retailer that I found still selling them, they are $749.

If they looked in cared for condition the starting bid would be more than fair, but to buy those without trying them first, that`d be brave.

You could put a positive spin on it and say they were so good they
were fought over (and bear the marks).
