Is this a moth? (1 Viewer)

This creature sat on the outside of the window of my livingroom in Kwidadu in the east of Sierra Leone (w. Africa). It is about 8mm. If it is a moth, to what family does it belong? I am well aware of the fact that only about 10% of the African insects have been described so even if you are not certain do contribute because together we may find the answer.

You could be right. The shape is similar to some Cicadellidae, I could not find any pictures of leafhoppers with a fan shaped tail though. Such tails are more something for Cixiidae but then the body shape is completely different. Thanks anyway.
