Hi,and a happy new year to all.
My name is Bill,in trying to recall some salient events in my birding life
two of the first come to mind.Firstly, around fifty years ago my dad walked
me into our backyard and introduced me to one of our native thrush here.
A wood thrush to be exact,a few years later on a family vacation to the west
coast of U.S.(california) we encountered a free flying california condor.
Both events I'll carry with me forever.Reflecting,I come upon the notion that
its not what Ive seen in the past, but what I havent encountered yet that motivates.
Looking foward to sharing many new encounters here with that thought in mind,
as Im sure many feel like-wise.
Best Regards,
Bill

Hi Bill,

A warm welcome to BirdForum from all the Moderators and Admin. Glad to have you on board :t:

I agree. Whenever I go birding I am never sure what I am going to see an that's what makes it so interesting.

Thank to both Robin and John for the warm welcome.Have "peeked" at post in site in
past and allready learned and enjoyed much.Comes a time to make it "official",
no more "peeking" on my part, felt compelled to join you folks.
Cheers,
Bill
