Nikon ED 30x60 for digiscoping? (1 Viewer)

Any opinions if my Nikon Fieldscope ED III A would work or not? I have a fixed 30x eyepiece. At least Nikon seems to have adapters for Coolpix cameras...
 
I should think so,have you got your camera yet?If so try holding it up to the eyepiece of your scope & see what kind of image you get.

I think a 30x eyepiece on it is pushing things for a scope with a 60mm objective, with an 80mm that is as much as you would use. Maybe o.k. on very sunny days, but it may be a struggle to get a reasonable shutter-speed most of the time.... though if your subjects are very still it won't matter too much.

It works quite ok, the light is of course always an issue.
With the 30xW eye piece the need for zooming in is rather low.
Camera on ISO 200 and using noise reduction filter in photo shop helps.
