Fitting an Eyepiece to an ED50 (1 Viewer)

I'm not convinced the 13 - 40x zoom eyepiece is fully screwed into my ED50 scope. It won't screw in any further but part of the o ring is still showing. The eyepiece has a protruding inner sleeve with a single screw and I was wondering if this is supposed to be adjusted??? Can anyone help? I haven't got the eyepiece instructions.

Do you see any vignetting on the view through your zoom eyepiece ?

Joroma,

Also, Have you tried to push that sleeve back in? I am trying to envision what you are talking about.....can you post a photo of the eyepiece issue?
