Yes all Ruff. All juveniles.

Difference in size down to Ruff (male - biggest), Reeve (female - smallest), and Faeder (cross-dressing males - intermediate in size perhaps, but account for about 1% of population.)

Meare Scrape is a great place for waders right now.

Keep an eye on reports from SOS website. That will give you an idea of what waders were seen on a particular day on the scrape. Often listed under Meare Heath, or Shapwick in the listings.

that's good advice Phil -- the SOS site is pretty good, and I try to get over to Shapwick on a Friday after work if I'm not too knakced (lucky enough to see one of the juve Little Bittern over the way at Ham Wall a few weeks ago too)
