Chinese egret (Taiwan)? (1 Viewer)

This is a smallish egret at Da-an forest park, Taipei, hanging out in the trees over the central pond. I suspect it's a Chinese Egret.

Thanks,
Marc

It's a (Eastern) Cattle Egret.
Chinese Egret would have a longer, slimmer bill, longer neck and more green on legs. Assuming this was recent, Chinese should also have a darker bill (in summer the bill is yellow, but then usually with blue facial skin).
Habitat is also a useful cue - Chinese tends to be a coastal species so a sighting over a pond in a forest park would be very unusual.
