Three mute swans in Dorset have been found dead after contracting the virulent More from BBC News...

I looked at the 6pm news tonight, and the dead Swans have got the H5N1 strain of bird flu.

The good news is that the other birds will not be culled in the Abbotsbury Swannery * sigh of relief *
 
Heard this on the radio a few minutes ago- if a major outbreak does occur in the future there is not much that can be done I suppose.
