I've recently come across this artist, until recently she mostly did Fishing Village scenes but lately has started painting birds. They are not technical paintings but some are very good. The Blue Tit on an Iris is very pleasing to the eye.

I've always loved painterly paintings. She seems to combine that with a very good sense of structure and movement in her birds. All in all I much prefer this type of work, especially when the movement seems to true, to technical paintings.

Her latest offerings have a very strong Christmas theme with lots of Robins, some of which are pretty good.
