Robin singing in the dark was first bird.
A roosting Woodpigeon in the headlights whilst out owling was the first bird seen.

My last of 2018 was Blackbird and first of 2019 the same....a neurotic male flying past the entrance of our shop as I poked my head out at 7.01am almost crashed into me :-O

House Sparrow (my little flock of 12 or so)
Redwing. Looking out the window on News Year's Day I spotted one in a tree together with 2 song thrush and a fieldfare

House crow flew past me about 10 minutes after midnight! I was on my rooftop in Dhaka, Bangladesh watching all the fireworks for the New Year!
