Hummingbirds in Slow Motion

Hey everyone,

I just came home from a trip to ecuador having the luck seeing, taking pictures and filming a lot of hummingbirds. These birds are just amazing, living in their own "time-zone". Here are some impression I brought from my vacation:

Not trying to hijack this thread, but wondered if these might be of interest....

We went to Costa Rica earlier this year and saw several types of hummingbird; the most common of which was the Rufous-ta

We visited La Paz Waterfall gardens where they had feeders. We went on a Sunday when all the locals were visiting. It was very crowded and lots of shadows and then bright light - extremely challenging.

This should be a Scaly-breasted

Amazing to watch and hell to photograph successfully.

We also had a sight of a Volcano Hummingbird on dark and misty day. I do have a static record shot but it is best left unseen!

Lovely still image fisheyeadventures, as well as colincurry.

Hummers! I love it when the conditions come together for fun photos...the Anna's in a nearby wildlife area have moments where they are very cooperative for non-flapping photos. But the real joy is when they are sitting there on a branch but also whirring away or preening...
