IMHO it's a Pale-fronted Negro-finch / Nigrita (Nigrita luteifrons). I saw it there as well!

Birds are disappearing because we destroy their natural habitat. By far, the main reason of this destruction is animal agriculture; thus, the first essential step for all bird lovers: becoming vegan.

For Birds, there is really only one, though the paperback version is obviously more use in the field - http://www.lynxeds.com/product/birds-western-africa
but is a cut down version. For distribution within Cameroon, Michel Louette produced a very useful annotated checklist which you may still be able to get hold of, though it is taxonomically outdated.
The African Bird Club is a good source of information - http://www.africanbirdclub.org/

If you have any queries on Cameroon feel free to send a PM.

Mark
