I enjoyed a pleasant afternoon at the botanical gardens yesterday.
The highlight of the visit was a Collared Finchbill:

There were also c50 Naumann's and Dusky Thrushes (more of the former); 1 pair of Chinese Nuthatches; a Red-flanked Bluetail; and several Pallas's Warblers.
BTW: A few weeks ago in the Huairou district of Beijing, I managed to get a photo of a pair of Ibisbills. Also at:
