Lensmaster Gimbal Head (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I just want to share my experience of using a Lensmaster Gimbal R2Hs gimbal head.

The gimbal heads exist in two variants: R1 and R2-HS
  • R1 assumes the optics has a rotating collar. Advantages are lighter weight and lower price tag.
  • R2-HS is more versatile since it can also be used with optics without rotating collar, e.g. scopes. At expense of weight and also price tag.

I opted for the R2-HS with a long plate and have been using it with both short and long optics. The setup is well balanced and a pleasure to use.

The gimbal head is a heavy-duty construction and feels it is designed for heavy loads.

Ordering and overseas shipping were smooth.

If you are considering investing into a gimbal head, I can recommend this product.

Lastly, I have no affiliation with the company, I am just a customer/user.

I bought myself the swing arm version for Christmas. I like it a lot and certainly would recommend it. I too have no affiliation to the Company, but have to say that I spoke to the proprietor who was very friendly and most helpful.

I am told that the Giotto plate fitsbut I have Manfrotto, which also fits

Hi
For reference: When I ordered the gimbal head I also ordered a quick release plate and followed the recommendation, a Giotto MH611 Long Quick Release Plate. The plate fits perfectly. A long plate increases the application area and allows balancing a wider range of lens/body combos as well as balancing zoom lenses with a long barrel motion e.g. the Bigma.
