Here's some other rather poor images. Can't see the claws on any of the pics. I was just glad to get a shot at all!

Looking at Alstrom et al, it looks most like tschutschensis to me, even the small white area at the base of the lower mandible is shown?

Thanks for the inputs all. I asked because it didn't quite fit any of the Yellow Wagtail pics in the Collins guide. So interesting to see what others think.
 
Just had an email from my friend who was with me - he has ears that can hear high pitched calls, and said thus:

but the bird did call, a distinctive high pitched tseep,

So, sorry for not including this last night. Hope it helps.
 
Yep, looks like a flava x thunbergi intergrade. I'm seeing a lot of birds just like this right now on passage in Sweden.
