    Watching over a fledgling... Once again, this species has successfully bred on Silver Hill. This is out of their regular range, and I'm thrilled to have them just a couple miles from my house.

    This is a "hot-line bird" for this province. This one's been around Grand Pre for about 3 weeks.

    While working at home, I noticed a small sparrow visiting the seed outside my window and was delighted to find it was a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW. This is a rare migrant here in California. A new yard bird!
