    One eyed lesser redpoll - lifer. It's not a lifer cos it's only got one eye but because I've never captured a redpoll before. I think that it has a tick just to the left below the beak. It seemed healthy enough.

    Probably one of this years youngsters. It's amazing the colour variations and sizes of these birds when you get to see them at close range and study them. I was lucky enough to get 2 Mealy redpolls in the garden the other day.

    Got this unusual angle from the bathroom window, I have a 5 nyger seed feeders around 3/4 yds away, so ideal for taking pictures. This is actually full frame with no crop, just reduced in size for BF.

    A female Lesser Redpoll with copper/chestnut crown. Not too out of the ordinary and just a record shot, but different enough for the 'odd bird' category.
