The 2nd fledgling. Most of the time calling/begging for food. The older one is already difficult to spot/hear. Very shy youngsters. No comparison to https://www.birdforum.net/gallery/fascination.665783/ The goshawk youngster (1 of 3) from 2021 and me, we were almost close friends. 🥰

  7. Northern Goshawk

    Northern Goshawk

Local female Goshawk watching me as I checked her nest last Summer (under licence). She never alarm called or made a fuss which is unusual for this species. The nest itself was eye level to a footpath just metres away so her silence helped in not drawing attention to her three chicks which all...

  20. Northern goshawk

    Northern goshawk

I took a power nap in the shadow of an oak when it suddenly became very noisy. Local fieldfares chased and attacked this goshawk. Good for me because it was not very difficult, to approach the goshawk in the oak, with all these very angry and aggressive fieldfares around. After a while did it...
  21. Goshawk

One of a pair which inhabits our local cemetery. They usually spot you long before you've spotted them and glide noiselessly away between the trees; this one stayed put for a minute or so and kept bobbing her head above the small branch to see if I was still there. Kind of reminded me of my...

  25. Goshawk

One of the adult goshawks that is/was parent to the youngsters that I earlier showed this season. Guess they already know me 👀. It perched close to me (almost full frame) and I had plenty of time for a picture. Maybe a case of corrupted wildlife?
