This female goshawk appeared from behind some trees very close to me. Prior to that, a large flock of crows flew over, so I was prepared with the camera when the goshawk appeared. She is backlit, but seems to work with light-colored birds.

I guess he finally noticed me because seconds later, he grabbed the remainder of the carcass and flew off to a distant fence row.

I turned around in the nearest driveway and went back to get as close as I could. He must have been pretty hungry as he didn't seem the least bit agitated by the nearby traffic.
