Finally managed to get a shot of a Sedge Warbler in the clear.

Early morning light at the Lauwersmeer lake in the north part of the Netherlands.

The bird had decided that the photographer was too slow to be a threat, and took interest in a moving straw instead. This is not the same bird as "Sedge Warbler 1". It is from the south end of the lake where the mist had started to go away.

This looks more like watercolours, but I have done nothing to it (not even sharpening) but increase the contrast somewhat due to misty wheather...

Not a detailed bird shot, but I liked the effect of the sunshine filtering through the reeds.

Alert and not so afraid, but after a while very displeased with your presence.

Young Sedge Warbler out hunting insects.

I could see 2 Pipits constantly going down from a fence off the road to feed their young. An amazing place to nest, but great to get close ups of the pipits with food in their beaks.
