totally absorbed by something up the tree, he kept hopping round the base. The head doesnt seem dark grey enough for a fully adult male, so I guess just sub-adult.

We saw this species of hornbill on several occasions during our East Africa travels.

Seemed to be difficult to get shots of and then it arrived on the lunch table!!

Chased a variety of birds all over the place with mixed results. Then they started turning up on our meal tables!!!

This is a female - one of the few cases where the female is more attractive than the male.(in birds :-)) These birds sound (to me) like babies crying - we always rush out to see them, as they don't stay long. This was shot in my neighbours garden.
