Taken on a pelagic off Cape Town to the trawling grounds. This shy albatross has grabbed some breakfast as the trawler pulled in its nets.

There was a commercial fishing boat about a kilometre away and they also had a large number of Albatross hanging around. I had never seen so many at one time.

Not sure of this one but will go for a Shy.

Could it be a Shy Albatross?.

On a pelagic from Stewart Island, NZ.

Photographed while fishing in Cook Strait.

Did a Pelagic trip and when the skipper started throwing bits of fish over the side we eventually had over 100 Albatross and many other sea birds round the boat.

Amongst the White-Capped following our boat.

Smaller species of albatross. They come in quite close at Half-moon Bay, Stewart Island,NZ. Known locally as white-capped some authrities include this as the Shy Albatross

A beautiful adult Atlantic Yellow-nosed Albatross, one of the smallest species of albatross (also known as mollymauks).
