Alpine Accentor is rapidly disappearing from our fauna in Bulgaria. For some unknown reason, alpine birds are rapidly disappearing. The purpose of this trip was to see if the alpine birds in the area are still around. From the usual suspects we missed the Balkan Shore lark which is usually seen...

Alpine Accentors spend the winter in the coastal mountains of East Spain. They retreat from the cold and snowy winter of the Pyrenees, Picos de Europa and other mountain ranges. It was observed in a tour last weekend.
