    American Robin with dinner

I watched this robin foraging on the ground for a few minutes then got this image when it caught dinner and perched on a branch above its foraging ground.

    Partial Albino Robin

This is a rare partial albino morph robin that appeared for a few consecutive years in my sister's yard and neighborhood. She has since disappeared, so we fear she is no longer living. Close up, you can see she has mottling even on her feet.

    Hunkered down

Not sure what this Robin was doing in direct hot sun. Didn't spread its wings as in anting. Just sat there.

    American Robin

While sitting on my deck waiting for hummer to show at feeders this robin landed on deck railing and sat there as if I wasn't there at all.

American Robin standing on a wave-washed rocky shoreline

This bird repeatedly, over several days, was seen foraging for and catching insects along the rocky shore of Lake Ontario, often standing in water up to a cm or more deep as waves washed in. The temperature was 33C+ at the time, but I don't think that it was just cooling off, though it did drink.

    Lots of Robins

I guess the extreme heat has brought them in for all the bird baths and my putting my sprinkler on for the birds.
