    The folks who own the home where this was taken have bird feeders of all types, including several for hummingbirds. The birds have become so acclimated to people on the home's deck that many of them, including the hummers, are not disturbed by people on the deck only a few feet away.

    I hadn't been out with the camera in a while. So, I took a day trip to the local estuary (if that is what it can be called) to see was to be had. This little individual was resting in the lee of a bush, to get a little relief from the wind. Sat there patiently while I clicked away.
