Hi Folks; Another lovely day with sunny blue skies forecast high 80's to low 90's for the next 2 weeks, Captured this male Anna's Hummingbird this morning.

This is the "I'm tough and you can't get near my feeder" stance for this little lady.

My hummers like to sit on the branches attached to our upper deck to guard their feeders and they're not afraid of us when we come near for photos.

Anna's Hummingbird (male) at our backyard feeder. After taking pictures of the Red-Tailed Hawk, I was just about to go inside the house when this little one buzzed right in front of me (twice). It stopped just long enough for me to snap a few pictures.

I live in Oregon and have a resident Anna's Hummingbird, male who hangs around my window near the feeder. I call him Gazoo after some old cartoon character - actually this is Gazoo III since he's the third male to try to dominate one of my feeders.
