    On a rock

A Rock Pipit came to settle on the wall along the promenade. My way of identifying pipits is... if they're on a rock = Rock Pipit. On grass = Meadow Pipit. In a tree = Tree Pipit. Naughty I know but it mostly works LOL Fortunately there isn't a "Sky Pipit"!!!

Lucky to get close to this one, on a very windy day, that had the appeared to be collecting insects for maybe a second brood.

    Busy, busy

This was rather a surprise, a Rock Pipit in the village, right by the shops and everything LOL. No idea where the nest could be, the sea shore was behind him, children's playground in front. Thanks for the heads up guys, ID changed.

    Saturday Fun .....

.... or Headless ... and guess the species. I did promise you this picture some time ago and rather forgot it. Taken in May last year on that wonderful trip to the Lunga, an island off the West Coast of Scotland.

    Rock Pipit

I was really pleased with this one, as I hardly ever see these guys and have never got a picture of one. Isn't it great when all the right things come together, setting, light... and pose for a few shots too. LOL I got a flight shot as well, but that's more suited to a SF ID one!!! So we...

    Rock Pipit juvenile South Stack

Avoiding the rain of yesterday morning, but not the persistent Westerly wind, I was lucky to find a pair of Rock pipit's still feeding this calling juvenile, on the leeward side of the steps down to South Stack lighthouse, Anglesey, Wales. Not normally easy to photograph, i found them quite...
