    I have never seen a bill that glows like this. It a appears to be a reflection from the gorget, but I wonder if the male RTHU uses this as an added factor in attracting females. Have any of you noticed this before?

    This fellow hangs around a feeder that is very close to where I sit on my deck. He's often on a branch just a few meters away. I often talk to him and he seems quite relaxed around me.
