arctic warbler

Difficult to spot as it has perfect camouflage and darts around the branches. Tiny bird but demands big respect as it spends 3 months in Alaska then flies all the way down to Thailand for the rest of the year. Bit like me really.

A winter visitor here in Thailand these birds have all left now for their northern feeding and breeding grounds.

Taken in the southern Kuril Islands, so I assume that this would be Kamchatka Leaf Warbler if the split becomes accepted.

Well from the title yu should guess how much trouble i had in getting shots of this warbler.Went to my Mud-flat and pond patch at 5.00pm and set down at my usual place beside the Aru river-i am begaining to miss the smell(ah). This bird is a bundle of energy. It never seems to stay still long enough! :)
