    This woodpecker is only found in Arizona and a small corner of New Mexico within the United States, it is also in Mexico. It used to be named the Strickland's Woodpecker.

    Formerly called a Strickland's Woodpecker, they are now Arizona Woodpeckers. The U.S.'s only brown-backed woodpecker. A new first for me, as I had never seen one before. Found in Southeastern Arizona, Southwestern New Mexico, and down into Mexico.
