I was so hoping I'd see a shoveler, I've a real soft spot for them, as they always seem to be smiling, and you have to smile when you see that over-sized bill, don't you.
Sadly the male wasn't around, and it was some days before I caught up with one of them.
South Australia has relaxed some restrictions, so I was able to get to Laratinga Wetlands again this morning. Adrienne is in hospital having had her hip replaced yesterday - all going as well as can be expected. Home Thursday.
