They are busy avoiding get shot now it is duck shooting season.

I put up this Shoveler as a comparison to the Northern Shoveler put up by Donald.

They starting to return to the Te Awanga lagoon to avoid the shooting season.

The female Shoveler is not often shown compared to the male, they are fairly plain.

I just had to show this photograph I got the other day.

Looks as if it is conduction the other ducks in the lagoon. The ducks are increasing because of the pending duck shooting season.

These two were trying to out do each other infront of a female shoveler.

Finally I got the chance to spend a whole day at Martinmere whilst in the north of England. This was like being in "seventh heaven". So many new species which I had neither seen nor photographed before. The day was wet, windy and overcast, so I had to crank up to ISO 800. Hopefully the...
