Three pics from our last trip to the Norfolk Coast back in March/April for ya this morning. We are going to look along the A149 today, to see where we would like to move to, so no birding for me again. I hope the weathers kind to y'all, happy birding.

This is the second shot of this bird from a sequence of five shots I took as it was taking off.

This shot was taken a few seconds before the one I posted two days ago under the title'pas de deux'.It shows how the stilt tried to make the avocet go away by swooping down over its head repeatedly.The avocet would then crouch low down and/or step forward to avoid being hit.A juvenile stilt was...

Anyone would think these two birds are in unison as they step lightly, side by side. But, in fact, the stilt was trying to make the avocet keep away from the bank where a juvenile stilt was wading, apparently unaware of what was going on.

Tension was running high among the Avocets at Minsmee on Sunday with plenty of minor skirmishes breaking out. I guess it is always the same in the breeding season. Ron
