    Returned to their perch today. Last year it was November 11. Up in the tallest pines airing out after a moderate rain shower.

    It was taken on the shore of the St-Laurent, Qc, at low tide. These young eagles were looking to find a free meal early in the morning. At low tide, they can find fish caught in small ponds.

    Most of the time all I see are small birds like chickadees, sparrows, nuthatches, etc. So to see two huge Bald Eagles casually sitting around in the early morning sunlight....well....there was some hyperventilating going on.

    In two days in the same location, I saw 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4rth, and 5+ year old Bald Eagles.

    This mating pair are only about 30 meters from their nest. The bird I uploaded last week is now on its way to fish the Gulf of Mexico, which is only a few blocks to the west.
