I do not know what he did, but she was sure giving him "what for" when he flew in. My husband said he much have been out all night. (New Years Eve) hahaha
It was taken on the shore of the St-Laurent, Qc, at low tide. These young eagles were looking to find a free meal early in the morning. At low tide, they can find fish caught in small ponds.
Most of the time all I see are small birds like chickadees, sparrows, nuthatches, etc. So to see two huge Bald Eagles casually sitting around in the early morning sunlight....well....there was some hyperventilating going on.
Merry Christmas, my Birding Buddies!
While I was watching him, she flew in, and with her was another immature eagle flying over. Great to see three at once close by.
This mating pair are only about 30 meters from their nest. The bird I uploaded last week is now on its way to fish the Gulf of Mexico, which is only a few blocks to the west.
